Education

Knowledge of one or more scientific disciplines does not guarantee that one can teach them. My overall procession shows that I can communicate and challenge students in several fields of sociology, applied communication, and corporate social responsibility.
Compelled by logic and sentiment, I have taught since the young age of 23 at lifelong learning seminars. I have taught in private as well as
in public educational institutions, of which the last 16 years were in academia.

Teaching means love and passion, since the teacher is able to shape intellectual concepts and perceptions as well as the professional
capacities and skills of the trainees.
Teaching is the medium rather than the instrument through which the production process is developed, evolved, and consolidated. In the
end, the educational process is nothing more than wittingly registering in the minds of the trainees the planned process.

My several thousand hours of teaching, as well as the success of my former students, foreshadow the success of my future students.

Applied Communication

What does it mean when the experts and the general public talk about communication and its importance? Is there something amiss, or
something deserving our greatest commitment and attention?

This is also a political issue. Because the media-controlled democratic governance in nations and enterprises is at stake, the
communication used to bring together billions of people on the planet, mostly in the developed world, and in much of the developing world, is planned and materialized in a professional and often scientific manner. This has become a mandate and is the reason for the widespread
use globally—and nationally—of the noun communication and the verb to communicate.

It is hard to describe in a few words what exactly applied communication is. For sure, it is a combination of academic and other
applied knowledge, a formula that can enable the expert versed in applied communication to materialize, commonly with the administration, whatever it is that must and should be communicated.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Of the three words, some highlight the importance of «corporate,» as it underlines the social responsibility of corporations. Others
emphasize the social component, as the objective is to help community and society. The two meanings notwithstanding, I propose that special weight must be placed upon the third word, responsibility. The most fundamental issue raised by corporate social responsibility is the moral issue, one that is frequently overlooked, as corporate responsibility is often confused with marketing.

Corporate social responsibility, which some companies opt to call corporate accountability, is a novel concept brought about by the
market economy of the late post-industrial era, the era of postmodernism. In the face of globalization and insidious environmental risks, corporate social responsibility is called upon to provide answers to this emerging reality.

Because this responsibility is also social, it is frequently useful that the corporate social responsibility consultant is a sociologist,
primarily of communication and civilization.
